I am an Interior Designer from China. My passion and interest for interdisciplinary design have driven me to embark on a journey of exploring the connections between jewelry and interior design in this project. In this project, I’ve come to realize the similarities and commonalities between jewelry and interior design. I delved deep into understanding their shared aspects and discovered that they can mutually inspire and influence each other.

            [post_content] => In this project, the interplay between jewelry and interior design is explored to understand how they mutually inspire and influence each other. The information is gathered from books on jewelry design, and a detailed analysis is conducted to compare and contrast them in four key aspects: scale, material, element, and structure. In addition to the research and analysis, this project involves a series of painting and model making as a practical exploration of the jewelry design process.  The findings demonstrate that the techniques and methods used in jewelry design can be effectively incorporated into interior design, offering new possibilities to enhance the shopping experience. This integration of jewelry design into interior spaces adds a unique and captivating dimension to the overall shopping environment.To honor the influence of the site's culture, Scottish jewelry is chosen as the experimental subject. In this project, the gemstone, a crucial element of the jewelry, is treated with equal importance to the furniture in the space. The idea is to connect the furniture through the application of jewelry techniques, using them as display positions to create an intriguing and engaging environment. Additionally, the various types of jewelry, with their different heights on people’s body, are taken into consideration when devising the display methods. In addition, the different heights of various types of jewellery also are considered into display methods. The distinctive colors, textures, shapes, and designs found in Scottish jewelry serve as inspiration and are translated into an abstract language, applied to the spatial decoration. By incorporating these elements, the design will reflect the essence and aesthetics of Scottish jewelry, providing a cohesive and visually captivating ambiance. Overall, the project aims to offer a unique and immersive shopping experience where interior design and jewelry seamlessly blend, showcasing the beauty and craftsmanship of Scottish jewelry in an innovative and appealing manner
