CROSSING THE VISIBLE LINE

I re-imagine the playground as a space that reflects the ambivalence of the outsider. Through mixed media, I deconstruct and subsequently reconstruct this space. The project is an exploration of the relationship between personal narratives and the urban landscape, the self and the other, and socio-political realities.

Color Block Patch Plan: Turning Chaos into Order

In my work, graffiti is an unplanned and spontaneous expression, and the ‘order’ I impose with uniform blocks of acrylic paint, can be seen as a meta-narrative of the human desire for categorization, order, and control, especially of that which may be seen as destructive or non-compliant.
