Maggie Mak (She/Her)

Painting for Maggie is a construction of a borderland about memory fragments and narrative imagination. Maggie takes the personal and transforms it into a commonly recognisable visual narrative painting. Using cute little figures to depict mundane melancholy and fragility, establishes a witty sense of dissonance between the cute and the sad, the gentle and the rebellious, the pure and the cruel, the violent and the still.
