As an artist from and based in Glasgow, I make use of its myriad of different architectural styles and infrastructure choices as a visual language to present my ideas. I like to take images from my own experience and create a narrative which can be followed and interpreted in a variety of ways. My work is a response to formative experiences and I present this in visual and written form as melancholic memory. I am primarily a painter, in acrylic medium however do venture in oil painting as well as printmaking and photographic work as well as the written word. Through these different mediums and conceptual approaches, I hope to recreate emotions and atmospheres with a sense of scale.
